Scissor supported mechanical systems are systems in which a scissor arm mechanism is used to move a roof or facade. The working principle of the system is that the object to be moved or transported is connected to the scissor arm system and the object is moved forwards and backwards by means of the opened scissor arms.
Scissor arms are made of light and durable materials such as aluminum and steel in scissor supported systems, which are generally used for retractable awnings, pergolas and sunshades in architecture and construction. Materials such as fabric acrylic, polyester or PVC are used as coatings in the system.
For these systems, which are used for sun protection, to be more resistant to harsh weather conditions such as rain and wind, the steel arms can be calculated and strengthened according to the regional conditions.
The system can be used automatically by adding motors and sensors.
